A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a specific e-mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any miswritten address under the exact same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you are running a company, for example. Since you may start receiving spam, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filtering software so as to receive only legitimate emails in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting
You will be able to create a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty if you’ve got a cloud website hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet amazingly simple to work with, and it will allow you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a few mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have set up will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each of them you’ll find a small-size "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking on it once again will disable it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you already have a different one with this feature activated or if you have activated email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all option can be enabled without any effort in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will find a mini sign handily located right next to each one. With only one mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option through the contextual menu that will come into sight. In case any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will notify you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
